Meet Amy

Amy Kreighbaum

“With fitness being a huge part of my childhood, I knew at the young age of 16 that I wanted to pass the importance of being physically fit and overall healthy to others! My sister and I opened The Studio in December 2004, soon after I married my husband, Scott Kreighbaum. Scott and I have 2 beautiful children, Macy and Jace.

With over 20 years of experience in the health and fitness field, I am very knowledgeable in all aspects of health and fitness. Whether you are looking to lose body fat, increase lean body mass, improve sport specific performance, improve your overall physical fitness, lower your blood pressure and/or cholesterol, decrease your risk for diabetes, improve mobility, balance and/or overall range of motion or improve your diet, I am confident I can help you get there! Don’t hesitate any longer, you are worth it!”

Amy earned her B.A. in Physical Education, with a concentration in Exercise Science, as well as her M.A. in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science. She is also a National Academy of Sports Medicine- Certified Personal Trainers. Amy started her fitness journey as a personal training and small group fitness instructor at the age of 16, and throughout her career she has instructed college level health, nutrition and fitness classes as well as designed and directed cooperate health and wellness programs since 2002.

Over the past 20 years Amy has had the opportunity to continue her education with some of the most well known Kinesiology Professors, such as Dr. Len Kravitz from the UNM as well as other Exercise Science educators, such as Fabio Comana, MA, MS, who is a faculty instructor for NASM. She has also had the opportunity to train with some of the most elite Pilates instructors and fitness trainers in the world, some of which include: Douglas Brooks, MS, who was inducted into the National Fitness Hall of Fame; Josh Crosby, a world champion rower and the co-creator of the rowing-based fitness programs for IndoRow; Todd Durkin, veteran NFL player; Peter Twist, veteran NHL player; Kathy Grant, who received her Pilates Certification from Joseph Pilates himself; Julian Littleford, who is currently the Pilates Director for the San Diego Padres baseball team; Siri Dharma Galliano, trainer of many Hollywood celebrities; and Tom McCook, who has trained athletes such as the two U.S. gold medal swimmers in the 2000 Summer Olympics.
